The purpose of this Recommendation is to be used as a guideline by manufacturers of fans. It should be rememberred and kept in mind that the essential purpose of European Directives is to achieve a common level of safety and ensure free movement of goods between Member States, and not to certify the high quality of the product or to guarantee performances. The CE-Marking, which assumes the compliance with the relevant Directives, is not awarded by a test or inspection body; it is fixed in the product by the manufacturer who simply declares this compliance.
